I mostly buy from Sweet Maria's and you can get it pretty quickly via their Priority Mail flat rate boxes (note they prefer UPS strongly, but I have had decent luck with PM as well). Reply srgoodman Jun 5, 2008 01:30 PM The best local green coffee is from George Howell at Terroir in Acton.

When I called Nespresso the person I spoke to wasn't able to help me. I'll try calling again and maybe I'll get someone who's got more on the ball. For myself, I don't think coffee needs a hechsher, although I believe some flavored ones may be dairy, which I'd need to know if I'm serving coffee after a meat meal.

In the Herrington mail order catalogue, they are promoting a Vaku Brew coffee maker imported from germany. they dont clearly identify the brand/manufacturer but it might be something like Bodum. It uses a process called vacumn brewing. Has anyone tried this product and does it make, as the catalogue says, "the most satisfying cup of coffee."

So I have a visitor coming in a few weeks, and I was thinking of going to Canteen for brunch, due to all the stellar reviews I've read about the brunch food. However, I'm a little bothered by several fairly negative reviews on Yelp about the quality of the coffee at Canteen, and good coffee is an absolute brunch must for my visitor.

I have had a Nespresso for a couple of years, and I feel that the espresso that it makes is way above average, and is better than most espresso that you get. It has a lovely head of crema. However, when making a cappuccino, I feel it is best to use a smallish coffee mug and a double espresso in order to have the right level of coffee.

I know this is a super old post...but in case anybody Googled it like I did and ends up here... Milk is actually a homogenous mixture called a colloid. This is because there are proteins and fats floating around in water in a fairly uniform distribution; the proteins & fats are what makes it milk instead of just water.[1]

CO, guess the _means_ the same as the *you* use and check the spelling of a lot. Ooooo! Bad. Chai is both the Chinese and Russian word for plain ol' tea ( but definitely NOT southern sweet tea), it is a rather plebeian drink there.

Recently returned from glorious trip to Negril, Jamaica. Became a coffee drinker, love Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. Where can I purchase it in NY? Will order online if necessary but want to be able to purchase it in NY if possible? Help? Have run out of what I was able to bring home with me.

I would look for a stamp of authenticity by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board to ensure it is authentic, because there is alot of imitation Blue Mountain Coffee floating around. Otherwise you can be pretty confident what you buy at the Airport is real, sometimes that is worth the extra couple dollars a pound.

Anyone know where I could purchase Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee in the GTA? I'm hooked and made the mistake of bringing back just 1 lb. from a trip to Jamaica. I'd also prefer to buy it from a bricks-and-mortar store, as I'm a little leery of making purchases online. Thanks!

I think ING Cafe has 2 NY locations. I go to the one on the corner of 58th & 2nd. They're the only place I can think of in Manhattan that serves Peet's coffee (though there certainly may be others), and they have great biscotti, which they get from the Buck's County Biscotti Company.
