Costco, on the other hand, is much further for me to drive, and there's only 1. Having said that - I've heard a lot of good about the Kirkland brand from Costco. However, the "house brand" from BJs (Berkley & Jensen) also offers a lot of great items and mixes.

I don't know about currant/pine tree disease connection, but one source I saw stated: "Because the plants act as a host to blister rust, their cultivation in America is discouraged, and in regions of infection the wild species are eradicated. Native Americans used dried currants in making pemmican, but the dried currant of commerce is a raisin."

If you want to dispatch them before boiling, you can cut the ventral nerve cord on crabs or lobsters (I just did it with my friends). Take a knife and stab them in the middle of their "belly", that being where the flap beneath them (actually their abdomen folded up beneath them) ends.

Tied with trying to figure out which will be the fastest checkout line, it’s the biggest Costco dilemma: There’s an item you want at a price that’s too good to be true, only the portion is just way too big.(Single club members and those shopping for a small family are particularly well-acquainted with this problem.)Thankfully, Costco’s sizable frozen food section is immune from this ...

1. Fill the first bowl with cold water—never warm or hot, since that will kill the clams—and submerge all the live bivalves. Some people add cornmeal to the water to help purge the clams, but all that should be necessary is salt (if even that). You can add enough salt to make the water mimic ocean salinity, then put the bowl back in the ...

SO, migas tend to be a bit more eggy due to the higher proportion of egg to salsa and chilaquiles tend to be "wetter" due to the importance of the salsa in the dish. Put differently, migas are scambled eggs, flavored and texured by salsa and chips while chilaquiles is a salsa base flavoring tortilla chips and eggs/chicken etc.

For those of you who have been to Galco's, I'd like to hear what you tried and liked there. I bought five different things, and the only one I really enjoyed was Bubble Up. The Blenheim's ginger ale did a remarkable job of clearing my sinuses, but it wasn't exactly pleasurable. Definitely should not be paired with the hot salsa at La Estrella.
